Access and parking
Is leaving the park final?
No, you may leave and re-enter. Please remember to get your hand stamped at the park entrance.
Can we come to the park in a camper van?
Yes, you may park in the coach parking area.
Are there parking spaces reserved for people with disabilities?
Yes, designated parking spaces are available.
Is parking free?
Yes, parking is free of charge.
Is the park accessible to people with disabilities?
La Balade du Père Nicolas is committed to welcoming all visitors under the best possible conditions. An accessibility map is available at the reception desk to help you plan your visit.
The park is partially accessible: the nature of the site itself, with its trails and terrain, makes certain areas difficult to access for people with limited mobility. However, we do everything we can to ensure your visit is as enjoyable as possible.
A wheelchair is available free of charge at the visitor center for people with mobility challenges; please feel free to ask for one upon arrival.
Our team is trained to assist visitors with disabilities and is available to guide you and answer your questions throughout your visit.
Booking and payment
Can tickets be purchased on site?
Yes, tickets can be purchased directly at the park reception.
Do online tickets need to be printed?
No, there is no need to print tickets purchased online.
What payment methods are accepted?
We accept credit/debit cards, cash, cheques, and ANCV holiday vouchers (paper format only).
Are restaurant vouchers accepted?
No, restaurant vouchers are not accepted, either at the snack area or at La Taverne du Père Nicolas restaurant.
Food and picnics
Can we obtain food on site?
Yes, you can have lunch at La Taverne du Père Nicolas, which offers salads, burgers, and other dishes. You can also enjoy snacks and refreshments at the park reception (crêpes, ice creams, drinks).
Is picnicking allowed inside the park?
Yes, many picnic tables are available throughout the park, including a covered picnic shelter.
On-site services
Are baby changing facilities available?
Yes, baby changing tables are available in the restrooms at the reception and at the restaurant.
Lost property
What should I do if I lose a personal item in the park?
Lost items are collected at reception. Please ask there if you are looking for something.
Animals
Are pets allowed in the park?
Yes, pets are allowed, provided they are kept on a leash.
Opening hours and special events
What are the park’s opening hours?
The park is open from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Some activities open in the afternoon only.
Park rules
Is there a minimum or maximum age for certain activities?
Yes, each activity has a sign indicating the minimum age or height requirement.
Is smoking allowed in the park?
Four outdoor areas have been set aside for our visitors who smoke: one near the restaurant and one near the bar at the far end of the park. Outside these designated areas, the park is non-smoking.
Prices and facilities
Do you offer discounted rates?
Yes, discounted rates are available for women more than 6 months pregnant, holders of a large family card, partner card, disability card, CNAS card, and for groups of 10 or more (upon presentation of proof).
Are there electric vehicle charging points?
Yes, electric charging stations are available in the park’s car park.

What should you do when it rains?
The park is open even when it rains! Only the giant slide is temporarily closed during showers and reopens as soon as they have stopped.
In the event of heavy rain or a thunderstorm, certain activities may also be temporarily closed for safety reasons, including the summer toboggan run, the Raft’O’Folie and the express kayaking.
To enjoy the park whilst staying dry, you’ll find plenty of indoor games in our reception area, as well as several sheltered areas with wooden play equipment and educational huts scattered throughout the park.
Are there any activities for very young children?
Of course! Even the very youngest children can enjoy their day to the full at La Balade du Père Nicolas. There are plenty of activities suitable for children of all ages: wooden toys, themed playhouses, a treasure hunt, and even some pedal go-kart tracks.
From the age of 3, when accompanied by an adult, they can also enjoy a range of activities such as summer tobogganing, the merry-go-round, the carousel, swings and much more besides.
Finally, the little ones can set off to discover the animals living in semi-freedom and stimulate their senses in the various botanical and sensory areas, notably the Jardin des Sens.
